How Team Engagement and Operational Rigor Unlocked $2.55M in Revenue Growth
(Professional Services Firm)
Problem: The team was disengaged. Accountability was inconsistent. Revenue had flatlined, and the owner was still driving every result.
What changed: The firm rebuilt its engagement culture and installed operational rigor across every function with operations consulting and CEO coaching from Entrepreneurial Freedom.
Result: Billable days increased 42.6%. Revenue grew by $2.55M. The owner stepped back (and started a new business). The team stepped up.
Jamie Birch | Founder
JEB Commerce
(Affiliate Marketing Firm)
Problem: Every problem landed on Jamie's desk. No repeatable systems. A ton of emotion, baggage, and noise with no structure underneath any of it.
What changed: Jamie brought in Entrepreneurial Freedom and started putting processes in place. Real problems got solved in real time while building systems to make sure they never happened the same way twice.
Result: The business runs on repeatable processes instead of the owner's availability. Jamie says if he ever had another business without that infrastructure, there is only one person he would call.

I think the word that comes to mind is pragmatic. I really enjoy working with you. I felt like, I had a problem now, and I need to solve it now. And you were going to be able to get in there and help me solve it now and put the things in place to solve it now.
And you know, all the other stuff that comes with running a business, there's a ton of emotion, there's a ton of baggage, there's a ton of other noise. You're able to work in that to still go, okay, what do we need to do? And the trust, like. I trusted you. I still trust you. There was just an energy and there's no bullshit. I had a hundred percent confidence you were doing. It wasn't pie in the sky vision. It was, man, let's figure out how to solve this problem and how to put this in place that never happens again, that I can slowly start to walk away.
I'm like, now this is going on and this is going on and this is going on. But I think you were able to sort through that and deal with the emotion of the owner and then refocus of like, okay, yes, that's all true. Let's talk about how we solve it too. And, you know, that I think was a big strength.
And even now, if I had a business that was doing well, but didn't have any of that in place, there's only one person I would think to call. I wouldn't call any of my other coaches ever. I wouldn't. But you, I would totally trust you to come in and say, this needs to be a repeatable process, methodical march down the field. And I think that was the big difference.
Dave Lee | CEO and Founder,
Do What Works
(Fractional CMO Services)
Problem: Dave was at the center of everything. Managing every deliverable. Checking on every client. No energy, time, or bandwidth to think strategically. The model was not scalable.
What changed: He brought in Entrepreneurial Freedom for CEO coaching and started shifting from managing activities to managing outcomes. The engagement addressed both the operational structure and the emotional weight of letting go.
Result: Dave now spends Fridays on strategic thinking instead of tactical delivery. Both company growth and personal growth as a leader. He went from myopic and stressed to strategic and clear.

My name is David Lee. I am the CEO founder of Do What Works and we are a fractional CMO services company.
Jen is a fantastic person who cares about her clients, not just from a company slash revenue success, but from a personal growth, wellbeing success. And that's different from other business coaches that you find out there that are just focused on processes.
As a founder, we're always used to being the center of the entire company, especially as you're growing and scaling. And that means I had to check on everything. Even though I had a team, I was always involved in that process. And so that's just not a scalable model. Managing every single deliverable that goes out, it's incredibly stressful, especially when you're trying to grow the business. So there's just a lack of freedom in terms of being able to take time out to think about how to strategically grow the business or even strategically what's happening with the clients, because you're so worried about the tactical implementations and the deliverables of what's going on, you become very myopic. I just did not have the energy, time, bandwidth, however you want to phrase it, to do that type of strategic, you know, holistic view of what's actually going on, because I was so worried about making sure our deliverables were being done.
One of the big challenges that Jen and Entrepreneurial Freedom helped me to understand is how do you get out of being in that role of being in the center and really delegating? So I can actually step back and be in a role of a CEO where I'm managing outcomes and not being in the role of a manager where I'm managing all the activities. I realized that I needed someone like Jen at Entrepreneurial Freedom to help me organize. And one of the things that I knew I had to do, but it's very hard to do by yourself. So, I mean, everyone needs a coach. Michael Jordan had coaches, right? He's a fantastic athlete, but he had coaches. You need a coach to help you get out of your head. And for you to see things that you can't see by yourself. And that's why I also knew I had to find someone like Jen, who can help me with that.
One of the big differentiators with Jen is that she meets you where you are. I was able to lean on her emotionally, right? So she was like my Jiminy Cricket on my shoulder saying like, yes, you can do this, you need to do it. And I think that's different from a lot of other business coaches who focus on the process of the procedures and things like from an HR perspective. She really understood psychologically and emotionally the challenges that CEOs and founders go through when they have to make this type of pivot and turn.
So one of the things that Jen is a big proponent of is the Friday Effect. When I first heard of it and she told me about it, I'm like, I don't have time for this Friday thing, take a walk on the beach and take a walk around the park and just freethink. I've got stuff to do. And you know, that's what I'm talking about. It takes time to make that mind shift. So that's what it's allowed me to do is take those Fridays, the Friday Effect, take those walks, read those trade rags, and think about what does that mean for myself and my clients.
Trust yourself. You need to find a coach who is a good sounding board for you, you need someone who you can bounce ideas off of. And they can call you out in a nice way, right. But they can call you and that's not quite right. And so do your research, understand what Entrepreneurial Freedom and Jen has to offer and her team has to offer and consider if it's going to help you or not. And if it is, great. Start running.
Patty Lawrence | Founder
Turbo Execs
(Fractional CFO and Accounting Services)
Problem: Patty was central to all day-to-day operations in a growing fractional CFO firm. She had been putting off foundational work in process and people. Her newly promoted Operations Manager needed real support, not just a plan from one perspective.
What changed: Patty brought in Entrepreneurial Freedom for the dual-client engagement, working with both herself and her operator simultaneously. They tackled process gaps, people decisions, team building, and role design.
Result: Turbo Execs is on track to be a self-managing company. Growth accelerated during the transition. Patty is stepping out of the day-to-day. Her Operations Manager has the support and frameworks to lead.

My name is Patty Lawrence and I am founder at Turbo Execs where we provide outsourced accounting and fractional CFO services to small and mid sized businesses who are lost in the chaos of reports.
If we hadn't been working with Jen, I know we wouldn't be far along in attacking the things that we need to attack and address for getting to the point where we're at a self managing company.
My goal for this year is to basically take my company to a place where it is self managing, which means that it doesn't rely on me for the day to day. So that is a journey that we've been preparing for a little bit of time. So some of the areas that came up were process related. Some of them were people related. It's caused me to focus on some things that as the owner and founder that I knew I needed to spend time on, but really didn't take the time to spend on, things like that.
My ops manager, this is a new program for her. And the reason we're doing this is to give the support she needs to get through this 12-month transition to I'm not in charge of day to day stuff anymore. I wanted to make sure that I had adequate support for her and what I didn't want to do is leave her high and dry with no guidance and a plan that was according to one perspective and maybe not a 360.
We're having growth. Which is good. So to address growth, we needed to address the people side of it. So she pulled in some resource. She's done some separate work with us on the people side of it. Giving us some ideas, bouncing some things off of us along the way, and also, you know, giving us not only the resource, but some frameworks as well. So that's been very helpful for us because that's where we are.
It's about personality and ability, relatability, and the fact that Jen is pretty calm, cool, and pretty chill about this stuff. But you can tell she's passionate about it. So that's the combination that I needed. So the demeanor was going to be more of a match for us. And I thought that it would be much more well received.
Hands down, I would definitely recommend Jen. And what's the person looking for and how does that align with what Jen delivers and how Jen delivers and how Jen shows up? I want to make sure that if that's going to be like a hell yes, easy, right? That's a no brainer. Make that introduction. And I think that's true for pretty much anybody.
Miriam-Rose | Ops Manager
Turbo Execs
(Fractional CFO and Accounting Services)
Problem: New to the operations role. The CEO was the only person who could triage new business and scope engagements. Services were not productized. The team waited on direction from the top before they could move.
What changed: Through the engagement with Entrepreneurial Freedom, Miriam-Rose built productized services, clarified team expectations, and took ownership of client onboarding. She was surprised by how much the work focused on people and values, not just process.
Result: Services are productized. The team knows what to do without asking. The CEO is free for business development. Miriam-Rose's biggest realization: you can customize and productize at the same time.

I'm Miriam-Rose, and I'm the operations manager for TurboExecs. We are a fractional CFO and accounting services firm serving small to mid sized businesses.
Working with Entrepreneurial Freedom has been really, I want to say affirming. There have been a lot of questions that as a new person in operations, I had going into the situation and I've learned a lot and I've received a lot of positive feedback.
A big issue that we've been faced with over the last couple of years, that I really see already starting to come together, is productizing our services. So before I felt like our hands were tied because we were always waiting on the scope details from our CEO, and having to receive that top down instead of simply understanding that this client need means X, Y, and Z on the back end and A, B and C from our team. Having our CEO be the only point where we're triaging new business is a little bit of a bottleneck. So creating more of a productized service is going to free her up and empower the team to onboard new clients much more smoothly.
As I transitioned into the operations world, I had enough support from somebody who had gone down this path before, and what we both found in the team at Entrepreneurial Freedom is the confidence that we were on the right track, and some really good listeners who can help us process out loud and hear the unique ideas that every business brings to the table, because it's truly not a cookie cutter situation in any instance. So the ability to talk through options and brainstorm live has been really valuable.
I think it surprised me how much emphasis was placed on team values and alignment, because operations seem so process oriented, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how much of the focus is on the people involved because that's where I really like to spend my energy.
So the level of accountability that Entrepreneurial Freedom has provided in encouraging the vision thinking and encouraging the collaboration between the CEO and the operator/integrator has been valuable. The aha moment for me was really just recognizing that services can be customized and productized at the same time. I had never really thought about it quite that way. The shift towards that is a huge step because we're going to have our CEO and founder free to focus on business development. We're going to have our team clear on what the expectations are for them and our client clear on what the expectations are coming into a service agreement with TurboExecs all with one big transition.
Yes, I would recommend Entrepreneurial Freedom, really to anybody who's looking to take the next step in their business. And by that I mean, find freedom from the day to day and be able to focus on the higher level business vision that CEOs really need to be focused on. I really think that the team at Entrepreneurial Freedom is unique in the level of care that they bring to the table. It's not just a business strategy call. It feels a lot more personal. And that's partly because of the small group setting. And partly because they're really wonderful listeners who care holistically about TurboExecs as a business and the individual humans who make up that business. So it really does feel genuine and well rounded.
“Working with Jen has been one of the most pivotal professional experiences I’ve had.
She has an uncanny ability to bypass the noise and identify the true source of a business challenge, often something I couldn’t see myself.
Where others focus on symptoms, Jen focuses on the root cause and then builds the systems and structures that create real momentum. She also helped train my team to take ownership and anticipate challenges before they become problems.
Her insight has saved me months of spinning in the wrong direction and given me clarity that’s transformed how I lead.
Jen is not just a strategist; she’s a business accelerator and a truth-teller in the best possible way.”
Josh LaMar, CEO, Amplinate
“Whenever I talk about Jen Eckhardt, I use the analogy of a rowing team. As an entrepreneurial leader I was giving motivational and inspirational speeches to my team in the boat—helping them believe in themselves, and working to harness their unique genius.
Then I met Jen.
Unlike most consultants who shout orders from the shore, Jen climbs right in the boat with the team, and says “Row, row, row.”
Regardless of whether you are working with her in a custom VIP program capacity or in one of her group programs, Jen is a super sharp strategist who understands what it takes to get operational alignment, help the Visionary leader become free from the weeds of operational overcommitment, and get the team focused on the goals that will serve an organization best.
My hunch is after starting working with her, the only thing you’ll wish is that you’d met and hired her sooner."
